18+ years building revenue and partnerships across East Africa.

I've spent my career on the commercial side of media, broadcast, and development work — first across more than a decade at Nation Media Group/NTV and Capital FM, then agency-side with Scangroup (WPP), before joining Akili TV as its founding commercial hire.

At Akili TV, I built the revenue function from zero to over $1M annually over seven years, while securing and managing funding relationships with Porticus, the Gates Foundation, the Mastercard Foundation, and Acumen. Alongside the commercial work, I led child rights and safeguarding-aligned programming, including a national child labour campaign delivered with the ILO.

I started 8:26 Consulting to bring that same discipline to other mission-driven organisations — helping them build the commercial partnerships and investment-ready propositions that let real impact scale, rather than stall at the funding stage.

Why this work, in one story.

At Akili TV I conceived Flash Squad, a teen digital-safety series, and pitched it from a standing start to Porticus Foundation — securing €150,000 in funding. Working with a dedicated team, we commissioned an independent impact evaluation and used the results to win a follow-on grant and formal adoption into Kenya's national curriculum with the Ministry of Education.

That arc — from first conversation, through funding, through proof, to lasting impact — is the model behind everything 8:26 Consulting does now. Whether the work is a corporate partnership or a capital raise, the discipline is the same: build the case properly, then take it to the people who can fund it.

Who this is for.
